CNA also reported that one of the reasons of Pope John Paul II’s beatification was the miraculous healing of Sister Marie Simon Pierre Normand, who suffers and cured from Parkinson's disease. The nun from Little Sisters of Catholic Motherhood congregation in France asked for intersection through Pope John Paul II for the cure. The doctors who investigated the recovery of Sister Normand declared it scientifically unexplainable.

The Polish Catholic leaders declared their joy after receiving the news of the beatification of Pope John Paul II.

Pope John Paul II was a Polish Cardinal elected as Pope in October 6, 1978. He succeeded John Paul I and won the hearts of the youth after establishing World Youth Day. He died at the age of 84 on April 5, 2005 and succeeded by Pope Benedict XVI.
