Check out the new look of World Food Programme's website

In order to reach out more to those who are in need of information and ways to help in fighting against hunger, United Nation World Food Programme redesigned their website to make it more user friendly and appealing to all. They launched the new look of the WFP website last June 15.

The new website retained its masthead the upper part that holds the logo and main menu but the lower part is more interactive and dynamic. The main headlines are there and followers of WFP especially those who are new in the website can track all the activities in the organization through the news letter and providing contact info on the “I want to join the fight against hunger” menu.

Supporters can get updates and facts on hunger through the Hunger Feed, and take part of the fight against hunger by donating on the red cup badge at the “You Against Hunger” section of the website. For the information of all it takes only a dollar to provide a nutritious warm meal to 4 children. Other ways of helping the campaign is true WeFeedBack, Playing Free Rice, Hunger Quiz, and Bloggers Against Hunger.

At the middle part of the website, supporters can get updates directly to WFP officers and ambassadors around the world in “People Against Hunger”, know the present situation of food crisis and pricing in other country at “Hunger Info” and see what happen during the relief at “WFP Photos”.

Lastly, hunger fighters no matter what profession and careers you take you can take part of this crusade against hunger. In my case I am an ordinary employee but aside from that I am a blogger. You can choose from the option of Aid Professional, Private Sector, Teachers and Students and know what you can do in being part of the fight against hunger.

So check out http://www.WFP.org now and if ever you are into social media follow them on Twitter (twitter.com/wfp) and Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/WorldFoodProgramme). And don’t forget to fill the red cup and feed a hungry child.
