Hosted by Phil Keoghan, the multi Emmy Award-winning series will have fan favorites from previous seasons travelling 40,000 miles through five continents and 23 cities.

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 opens on February 26!
A blind girl playing the piano, brothers tapdancing on regular leather shoes, a girl circling hoola hoops simultaneously around her body, and a brass band composed of 70 members altogether on one stage.
These are only some of the acts to watch out for as Pinoys once again show the world what they’ve got in the highly-anticipated second season of the biggest nationwide talent-reality show “Pilipinas Got Talent” premiering this Saturday (Feb 26) on ABS-CBN.
The search is on once more for that world-class act worthy of winning the P2 million cash prize and getting that once-in-a-lifetime shot at stardom just like PGT season one grand winner Jovit Baldivino, who is now living the dream and making a mark in the industry with his music.
As PGT returns on air, so are its wacky hosts Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford’s who are both very excited to get back on stage and do the show all over again.
“I am extremely happy. We all know how much people supported the first season so it’s a good feeling doing the same thing all over with Billy boy,” said Luis.
Big 3 judges Queen of all Media Kris Aquino, Comedy Concert Queen Ai Ai Delas Alas, and former ABS-CBN President Freddie M. Garcia a.k.a. FMG are also back to decide who makes the cut and who among the acts deserve to be in the grand finals.
When asked what advice they can give to season two hopefuls, Kris said “This is a God-given chance. It’s a chance to perform for the entire nation. Ibigay mo na ang lahat dahil minsan lang dumadating ang ganito kalaking oportunidad.”
“Mataas ang pressure ngayon dahil dapat kabugin niya ang season one. Kung dati binuhay niyo ang katawang lupa ko, ngayon mas buhayin niyo pa ang kaluluwa ko,” added Ai Ai.
FMG also encouraged hopefuls to be braver and bolder than ever and prove that they are truly the best as he expects the competition to be on the next level this time around. “Mas technical ang judging ngayon. It’s a totally different show because it’s a variety show. You really don’t know what to expect. I think that is the beauty of PGT.”
“Pilipinas Got Talent” is indeed one of the most successful and most watched talent-reality show on Philippine TV that catapulted its first ever grand winner Jovit to stardom. Since he won June last year, Jovit already released two albums under Star Records, the first one hitting the Platinum record mark, and was able to stage his first major concert at the Music Museum.
More doors also opened for other PGT season one grand finalists who are also doing well on their respective fields.
Don’t miss the much-awaited return of “Pilipinas Got Talent” this Saturday (Feb 26) and Sunday (Feb 27), 8:45 PM on ABS-CBN.

For the first time, three respected news icons in Philippine broadcast journalism are joining forces to strengthen “TV Patrol,” ABS-CBN’s flagship newscast and the leading news program in the country for the past 23 years.
Starting Monday (Nov 8), Korina Sanchez and Noli “Kabayan” De Castro will return to television to join Ted Failon in "TV Patrol" to form the most tried and tested news team ever assembled in the history of Philippine broadcasting.
The powerhouse team, all seasoned and working broadcast journalists, is collaborating to present news that matter to Filipinos all over the world and to give back to their kapamilya viewers by strengthening the public service commitment of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs, the country's most credible news organization based on a recent study by Pulse Asia.
Failon, in his 27 years in the industry, is the “Sandigan ng Bayan” for his commitment and focus on issues up to their resolution. Sanchez, on the other hand, is the intelligent and brave “Kakampi ng Bayan,” who has reported on the biggest news in the country since she started in ABS-CBN in 1986. She also holds the distinction of being the first female main anchor of “TV Patrol.”
De Castro, "Kabayan ng Pilipino,” returns with a wider knowledge of the workings of government after his stint as vice president of the Philippines. He started making a name on radio during the Martial Law years. Kabayan is also the original anchor of “TV Patrol,” and the hard-hitting investigative show, "Magandang Gabi Bayan."
“TV Patrol” is the country's number one primetime newscast in the country with an average rating of 32.6% in September beating GMA's "24 Oras," according to Kantar Media. When it comes to news, most Filipinos say ABS-CBN is the most credible TV network in the country as seen in the results of a Pulse Asia nationwide survey. 72% of the Filipinos believe ABS-CBN gave the most credible TV news coverage of the May 2010 elections, higher than GMA, which had only 63% believing in its credibility, and TV 5’s 32%.
In line with this development, the Kapamilya network is also beefing up its late night newscast “Bandila,” and has offered ABS-CBN news veterans Julius Babao and Karen Davila to join Ces Drilon as anchors.
Drilon, Babao, and Davila will provide deeper analysis and extended coverage of the day’s biggest news in “Bandila.”
For news that matters to every Filipino, tune in to the newscasts that stand by the truth and the good of the people. Watch Ted Failon, Korina Sanchez, and Noli De Castro in “TV Patrol," on primetime nights, as well as Ces Orena Drilon, Julius Babao, and Karen Davila in “Bandila” late evening, from Mondays to Fridays in ABS-CBN.

Mara Clara opens on October 25!
ABS-CBN brings back the teleserye that touches the lives of million Filipinos nationwide, and brings popularity to the names of Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes as they own the characters Mara and Clara. Mara Clara is the longest drama series of ABS-CBN where it started in June 22, 1992 on afternoon slot and ended in February 14, 1997 where it was moved in primetime slot of the Kapamilya Network.
Now in Oct 25, 2010, the famous diary will be unfolding the secrets again of the lives of Mara and Clara with the new stars playing the iconic role. Kathryn Bernardo will be doing the role of Mara and Julia Montes as Clara, with Dimples Romana as Almira Del Valle, Bobby Andrews as Amante Del Valle, Jhong Hilario as Gary David, Mylene Dizon as Susan David, Gina Pareno as Lupe, Chokoleit as CG, Albie Casino as Christian, John Manalo as Eris, and Ping Mendina as Kardo. Lupe is a new character on the remake of Mara Clara series where she will play as the grandmother of Mara, while the surname Davis was changed to David.
Here are the list of the artist who did the original Mara Clara that was created by Emil Cruz Jr. : Judy Ann Santos as Mara Del Valle, Gladys Reyes as Clara Davis, Juan Rodrigo as Amante del Valle , Beverly Vergel as Almira del Valle, Dan Fernandez as Kardo, Susan Africa as Susan Davis, Eruel Tongco as Gary Davis, Leni Santos as Lenita, Minnie Aguilar as Lagring, Michael "Eagle" Riggs as CG, Paolo Contis as Jepoy, Christopher Roxas as Eris, Wowie De Guzman as Christian. Tongco died before the series ended which created a huge impact in the show, while some of characters were not included on the remake’s trailer so I am not sure if they are included on the Mara Clara.
The challenge on the remake of Mara Clara if will they change some important details like if they will “kill” the character of Gary David in the story or not which it will create a big change in the flow of the series, like including a character in the story like Lupe.
For a person who saw the original Mara Clara, I am excited on how the creative team and the production will tweak some information and scenes to appeal in the present times. The 2010 Mara Clara will be airing on ABS-CBN beginning Oct 25.

Sharon Cuneta, Christian Bautista and Erik Santos to host Star Power: Sharon’s Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar
The long wait is almost over. The curtain is about to be raised. Witness as multi-awarded Megastar Sharon Cuneta spearheads the historic unfolding of her newest and much-anticipated Star Power: Sharon’s Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar, beginning Sunday, October 10, after Going Bulilit on ABS-CBN.
Meanwhile, Star Power co-hosts Pop Prince Erik Santos and Asia’s Idol Christian Bautista shared in an exclusive interview how excited they are in their first-ever hosting of the talent search. It can be recalled that both of the singers were products of the talent reality search Star in a Million.
“It’s like a full circle. Ngayon, kami naman yung nag-iintroduce ng mga bagong batch ng singers. It’s a great honor and it’s a privilege kasi, in a way, alam namin yung pinagdadaanan nila. Alam namin kung paano sila tutulungan at susuportahan,” Christian said.
Star Power’s premiere on the historic 10.10.10 also marks Erik’s birthday. The Pop Prince expressed his gratitude not only for the hosting opportunity he got in Star Power but also for the happiness he has.
“My birthday wish is syempre, mataas na ratings ng aming show, ang Star Power. Siyempre parating good health, more projects… Ay, love life pa pala. Hahahaha. I want a love na magla-last,” Erik said.
According to Erik and Christian, to become the next pop superstar like them, Star Power contenders must be strong, humble and god-fearing enough to face the challenges the music industry offers.
“Be prayerful. Being in a competition, tama nga si Erik, dapat maging humble ka. Show your best performance always. Kapag nandun ka na sa stage, competitors muna sila. Backstage, friends mo na sila ulet,” Christian said.
If the 20 female contenders practiced painstakingly for their performances, Erik and Christian also prepared a lot in their talent search hosting venture.
“For this one, nag-research ako sa hosting ng isang contest like this one. Kailangan mo kasing magkaroon peg bago mo gawin ang isang bagay. At least meron kang paggagayahan, meron kang model. Binalikan ko yung mga episodes ng isang international singing competition. Tiningnan ko rin pati yung hosting sa Star in A Million before,” Erik shared.
Judged by acclaimed actor/director Edgar “Bobot” Mortiz, concert legend Mitch Valdes and R&B sensation/TV host Billy Crawford, Sharon Cuneta’s Star Power empowers 20 young female hopefuls from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to maximize their own potentials, develop their talents and improve their skills. All of them undergo Sharon’s rigorous mentoring, but only one can be hailed female pop superstar.
With hosts and contestants already geared up, Star Power is now ready to dominate the Sunday’s Primetime block. Never miss “Star Power: Sharon’s Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar” on Sunday, October 10, after Going Bulilit at ABS-CBN.
