Tibiao Fish Spa in SM City Iloilo

During my visit in Iloilo City last November, I was fortunate to try the famous Tibiao Fish Spa in the Lower Ground Floor of SM City Iloilo. All the fishes used in the Fish Spa are all local fishes from the Tibiao, Antique.

The Tibiao Fish Spa has a wide range of fishes from small, mixed of small and bigger fish, and big fishes in cold and warm tubs. There are three services they offer for their Fish Spa Therapy:

Classic Fish Spa – It’s a 30 minute fish spa that cost P120, it is perfect for those who wanted to have a short break from their long shopping at SM and to relax their feet.

V.I.P Fish Spa – Enjoy the 45 minute fish spa in a more private and comfortable spa seats with your friends and family. The package goes with warm water foot bath and foot massage with your choice of massage oil or lotion to make it more relaxing for you.

Full-Body Fish Spa – Experience the ultimate fish spa for one hour that cost P1, 300 which the package is good for 1-3 persons. The package goes with shower and clients should reserve ahead and they bring their own swimwear.

Aside from the Fish Spa, Tibiao also offers Reflexology and Massage as their additional service to offer to their new and loyal clients.

Foot Reflexology – Enjoy the 20 minute natural healing therapy for as low as P100.

Half-Body Massage – Choose between traditional massage, Swedish or Shiatsu for 40 minutes for as low as P250.

Full Body Massage – For as low as P350, you will enjoy 1 hour of reflexology, between traditional massage, Swedish or Shiatsu.

At first, the feeling of the fishes biting my feet was uncomfortable but later you will enjoy the tingling sensation and it will make you laugh. That is why, I am recommending it visiting Tibiao Fish Spa with friends or family to make it more fun while enjoying the healthy benefits that the fish spa offers.

According to Flord Nicson Calawag, the General Manager of Tibiao Fish Spa, they are now exploring of possibilities of building their next branch in Metro Manila. They wanted the Manilenios who enjoys the magic of their fish spa in Iloilo and Antique will experience it again in Manila.

Be a responsible shopper use SM Eco Bag

Its Christmas once again and everyone is busy completing their list. Most were flocking in SM Malls for shopping with so many paper and plastic bags on their hands and carts. With tons of plastics and shopping bags is the bigger possibility of putting it on waste if not recycled and it takes a lifetime to break down.

SM Cares, a social corporate responsibility group under SM Supermalls introduced SM Supermalls Green Bag in 2009. The SM Green Bag was created to be an alternative from the usual plastic bag. It encourages the shoppers to reduce the use of plastics bag while their shopping and let them reuse it every time they go to SM.

Recently SM Cares improved the look of the Green Bag making it more stylish and fashionably to carry. They introduce 4 (four) designs and each SM Eco bags cost P35 only.

Breathe – A light blue SM Eco-Bag that advocates the importance of clean air.
Flow – The blue SM Eco-Bag calls on the conservation of marine life and calls on taking care of our waters including the lakes, rivers and sea.
Spark – Conserve energy, this is the call of the orange SM Eco-bag.
Renew – The White-Green SM Eco Bag encourages each one to do the 3 Rs of helping the environment; Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.

The new Eco Bag was introduced in August 2010 with Senator Loren Legarda as one the public personalities advocating for taking care of the environment. The proceeds will go to all the efforts of SM Cares in taking part of environmental projects.

(Thanks to Jonha Ducayag Revesencio of Iloilo City and http://iJustDid.org for the picture)

The good thing with the SM Eco Bag, aside from using it on shopping at SM Malls you can use it as a usual bag. The same way I used it during my advocacy talk in the Visayas Blogging Summit in SM Iloilo where I carried my giveaways to the audience. I am using

So next time you shop instead of asking for plastic bags, use the stylish SM Eco Bag. Join the SM Supermalls Eco Bag Facebook Page for more information and future promos.

SM Cares, the Corporate Social Responsibility division of SM Investment Corporation re-launches their Green Eco-Bag making it more stylish and appealing to the shoppers and those who wanted to extend it usage more than an alternative to plastic bags. From the usual “green” and simple design, SM Cares introduces four colors with unique designs on each bag. The four new designs includes; Flow (Dark Blue), Sparks (Orange), Breathe (Light Blue) and Renew (White and Green), each bag represents certain elements in the environment which SM Cares wanted to promote to their loyal shoppers. Flow represents water, sparks represent fire or energy, breathe represents air and renew represents earth. All the designs are creations of Manuel D. Baldemor a Filipino artist.

Flow represents Water where SM Cares wanted promote marine conservation and rehabilitation of certain rivers that are now polluted because of the waste created by human. Sparks enlighten shoppers the proper usage of energy and how to conserve it, such as electricity. Breathe sets the record straight on how each one sees how our air is now polluted due to carbon monoxide emissions of some vehicles and factories. Lastly Renew shows us the importance of recycle to lessen the usage of new resources and the importance of preserving them for the future generations.

Eco-bags cost P35, oo each and for SM Advantage and SM Prestige card holders they will earn additional 2 points when they shop using the Eco-bag at SM Savemore, SM Hypermart and SM Supermarket.
