Theater Down South presents “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” on October 2

After their successful production of The Princess and The Red Carp, Theater Down South will be staging a Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning musical farce entitled A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum on October 2, 3, 8, 9, 24 and 30 at the Insular Life Theater, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang. The TDS presentation of the Forum was directed by veteran stage director and the company’s artistic director Michael Williams.

The 1962 Broadway musical comedy that TDS will be doing on October 2010 is inspired by the works of the Roman playwright Plautus and it marks Sondheim success in Broadway as a writer for both music and lyrics. He became recipient of 8 Tony Awards and other recognitions such as Academy Award, a Pulitzer Prize and several Grammy Awards.
