In line with ABS-CBN's 55th Year Anniversary and ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc.’s (AFI) 10 years of expert, effective, life-changing public service has now brought altruism to a whole new level.
BayaniJuan – AFI’s answer to the Filipino’s clamor for decent living amidst trying times – was recently launched in partnership with Globe Asiatique Realty Holdings Corp. in Bacolor, Pampanga.
A model of perfect community, BayaniJuan comprises of AFI’s key services working holistically and synergistically to heal the hurts of a struggling nation. Bantay Bata, Bantay Kalikasan, Bantay Kalusugan, Sagip Kapamilya, E-Media and Bayan brought their expertise to the Xevera Community in Bgy. Calibutbut in Bacolor and made a difference in the lives of about a thousand families.
As AFI provides the soul for an environmentally sound and emotionally healthful community, Globe Asiatique provided the structural foundation for this glorious undertaking: a housing project to rival those of middle income residences in the metro; a decent public market and a public school geared to produce mathematics, english and science savants.
“Everybody deserves a fighting chance. I want to prove to our kababayans and the rest of the world that given the right tools, even the poorest of the poor can and will excel”, said AFI Managing Director Gina Lopez during the MOA signing with Globe Asiatique’s President and CEO Delfin Lee and Vice President for Sales and Marketing Divine Lee last 15 January.
There to celebrate the inauguration was no less than Vice President Noli de Castro, Department of Education’s Paul Soriano and Mario Ramirez.
