Living in a family that requires each member to take part of house chores one of the things I hate the most is sweeping the floor. I always got back pains due to long sweeping and reaching hard to clean area like under the couch, tables, beds and cabinets but still it’s not 100% clean. Every time I sweep, which I am sure that everyone encountered this scenario is that there are instance when we sweep the floor instead of brushing off the dust it clutches on the tip and scattered on the air as germs goes with it. It prolongs our burden bent and tired sweeping the floor without getting the assurance of having the area clean, dust free and germ free.

Living in a tropical country like the Philippines, most of our furniture and floors are prone to dust and spider webs. We keep on cleaning and cleaning with our so ever reliable brooms and to be honest are they really that reliable? But of course I don’t want to question the quality of our locally made brooms that our moms usually include in their shopping list every time they go out of town like in Baguio. They have this craze in buying brooms in the market that comes in yellow, red, green, and pink or sometimes in multi-colors. But have we ever notice that it doesn’t clean the dirt and dust 100%, instead it leaves some particles of the broom every time we sweep the floor hardly. So good for cleaning…

I have to admit, I do help in household chores on the weekend which sometimes I rather wish to lock myself in my room and sleep all they. But of course, as a good son and member of the family I should do my part and most of that part is sweeping and mopping the floor. Sadly I can hardly sweep all the dirt in the floor because instead of it going directly to the direction you are sweeping and on the dust pan, particles holds on the broom and once you sweep again it falls on the floor. Instead of sweeping and mopping for less than less than an hour, you need to repeat all the routine by sweeping all over again. And all I can say, this is madness!

Electrolux introduces their T-Drive Washers

Last Oct 16, Electrolux created a fun-filled activity called Wash-a-Palooza in the Eastwood City Activity Center in Libis to let everyone to know the features of their latest T-Drive Washers that is now out in appliance stores like the Abenson. With series of activities like racing inside the vicinity of Eastwood along with challenges that test the patience, physical and mental skills of all the participants, Electrolux Wash-a-Palooza aims to show how durable and long-lasting their latest product would be. And as for those who didn’t join the activity and stayed at the activity center they were serenaded by Easy Rock’s playlist and True Faith with some raffles that makes everyone who registered excited.

Electrolux Washing Machines includes; Front Load Washing Machines, Top Load Washing Machines, Front Load Dryers and Washer Dryer, both powered by T-Drive technology. The T-Drive Technology promises +35% Cleaner Washing performance, where it use the paddle to replicate hand washing method to ensure gentle action cleaning unlike other top load washers. It also has anti-tangle and anti-residue system where it separates clothes through a uniform water cycle inside the washer for a tangle-free wash. Electrolux’ Wok-a-Holic cooking showdown in WalterMart

September 11, Quezon City – Waltermart North Edsa and Electrolux presents the Wok-a-Holic Grand Cooking Showdown where it is the final round of the Electrolux Wok-a-Holic Kitchen Masters competition. In the final round the finalists will be doing fusion of three (3) dishes – one (1) rice, noodles, and meat or seafood dish all will be cooked with the use of Electrolux cookers that are all designed for Wok cooking.

There are three finalists, 2 members each team namely Big Brother Team composed of brothers Edwin and Robert Laceta, Mum and Ina duo composed of Cynthia and Monina Sto. Domingo and Team Pinay composed of Anna Maria Damacion and Yuka Nunuora. Winners will take home WCG632W/K Gas Range woth P15, 000 and P1, 500 worth of Meyer Cookware each for 2nd Runner Up, for 1st Runner Up wins Electrolux EKM5541X Gas Range worth P20, 000 and P1, 500 worth of Meyer Cookware each and lastly the Champion will take home Electrolux EKM6645X Gas Range worth P30, 000 and P5, 000 worth of Meyer Cookware each.

From the three fusion dishes each my personal choice in terms of taste and presentation for Rice meal I like the Ome-Rice, for Pasta my favorite is Green Noodles with Garlic and Shrimp in light Cream Sauce and for Seafood or Meat i enjoyed the spicy and crunchiness of Pinasabog.

At the end Team Pinay emerges as champion and will be bringing home Electrolux EKM6645X Gas Range worth P30, 000 and P5, 000 worth of Meyer Cookware each, plus the special price they will be having after winning the media/bloggers choice. Judges includes Jojo de Guzman (AVP for Business and Development of WalterMart), Nancy Reyes Lumen (Editor-in-Chief for Cook Magazine), Malu Estaris (General Manager, Electrolux Phil. Inc.) and Chef Bruce Lim (Celebrity Chef). The event is hosted by DZMM and Umagang Kay Ganda's  Winnie Cordero.
