Join Electrolux Design Lab 2011

In line with the growing demand of more innovative and eco friendly appliances to make life easy, Electrolux is now accepting entries for Design Lab 2011. Design Lab 2011 brings out the creativity and letting the imagination of both undergraduates and graduates of industrial design students worldwide and letting them to create a new and revolutionary home appliances and win cash prizes and a six-month design internship in Electrolux.

With the theme “Intelligent Mobility”, the 9th Electrolux Design Lab encourages participants to explore with the modern technology that is flexible and adapting to the needs of their consumers. The main challenge of the Electrolux Design Lab 2011 to it’s the participants to become bold, creative and innovative. They should see things in advance on how to cope with the fast phase way of living of a person who’s always on the go like the storage and preparation of their food, cleaning their homes and clothes and things than make lives of everyone easy.

All entries shall be judged based on intuitive design, innovation and consumer insight. One of the things that participants should remember is to keep the heritage and legacy of Electrolux and that is to reflect the values of Scandinavian design which are environmentally responsible, user friendly and appealing.

There will be three winners of the Design Lab 2011 global competition; 1st Place – 5,000Euro or PhP350, 000 and a paid six month internship at one of the Electrolux Group’s design centers. 2nd Place – 3,000Euro or PhP200, 000 and 3rd Place 2,000Euro or PhP 140, 000.
