Among the cities and countries joining this global event are: Brussels, Belgium; Athens, Greece; Scheveningen (The Hague), Holland; Dublin, Ireland; Mexico City, Mexico; Panama City, Panama; Warsaw, Poland; Moscow, Russia; Johannesburg, South Africa; New York, USA; and London, UK. There will be other Global Smurfs Day activities in Spain, France, Taiwan, Denmark, Iceland, Columbia and Switzerland where supporters of this campaign will be painting the walls with Smurf characters, wearing blue t-shirts and Smurf hats, while others will be putting Smurf figurines in most populated areas in their cities like the Trocadero Terrace in Paris, El Dorado International Airport in Columbia and Tivoli Gardens amusement park in Copenhagen.
Here in the Philippines, SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City will be hosting the Manila leg of the Global Smurfs Day on June 25. All the activities will happen at the Selecta Kid’s Universe, in the ground floor of the mall. There will be photo booth, games, face painting, viewing of some clips from the Smurfs movie and everyone joining the event are encourage to wear blue.
