Will Smith’s son is the new Karate Kid

Columbia Pictures brings to the silver screen an epic movie that teaches determination and discipline that inspires everyone in reaching their dreams and goals in life in – The Karate Kid. The Karate Kid is a martial art film remake of the 1984 movie with the same title directed by Harald Zwart and stared by Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith (Dre Parker), and Jackie Chan (Mr. Han). The will be shown in all theaters nationwide beginning June 11.

The film is about Dre, a popular kid in Detroit that was force to transfer to China because of her mother’s career plans. Being new in the country Dre experience bullying and discrimination, wanting to defend himself and prove his friendship and gain back the popularity that he has in Detroit, he discovered Mr. Han and made an agreement to learn kung-fu and joins a martial arts tournament.
