I tried Winema and its fun!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! That is how I can describe SM Cinema’s Winema that will be formally launched to public on April 30. Last April 22, I was one of those who fortunate to try the latest and the most interactive cinema in SM Megamall and soon in all SM malls nationwide. At first everyone is curious about this latest treat from SM expecting tremendous shaking in action-packed scenes, and mist in water splashing flicks like the one in Enchanted Kingdom and cinemas in other countries.

(With Sharon Yu, Monch and Iris Acosta, Earth Rullan, Ria Tirazona and Iris Pulga)

SM Cinema doesn’t disappoint its first 100+ guests who tried Winema, instead everyone had fun with the interactive game that makes the movie goers s human joystick, waving their hands and watches the 3-minute game on the big screen, and the hand movements were captured by the motion sensitive camera that converts the movement to the actual direction of the character in the game. The game is a group effort and once they reach the highest score they will win a prize from SM Cinema.

Here is the actual video of the 2 games of Winame namely Boink Out and Power Catcher. The camera movement follows the hand movement.

According to the marketing team of SM Cinema, Winema can be also a venue for those advertisers who wanted to promote their brands. The two games can be customized according to the feel and look of the brand that the agencies wanted to execute the campaign. For those who wanted to explore or venture with the latest SM’s interactive cinema they can contact Mr. Paolo Arugay at 0922-8630169, or 8317000 loc 2680.

Winema stands for We Interact with the Cinema, and this latest feature will be available on Megamall Cinema 1 in line with the official launching of the most awaited Iron Man II. Aside from Winema, SM also launches SM Radio where SM plays their collection of music of their own without the use of any commercial radio companies to avoid long talks and conversation of the djs, just pure music for the pleasure of the listening shoppers and tenants of SM.
