The action-romance-comedy film is about the suburban couple; Phil and Claire, who wanted to have something different from the usual date nights and brings them to the biggest surprise of their lives. The Fosters wanting to dine at the Manhattan Bistro where all the couples dream of having their date their snatches the table reserved by the Tripplehorns who supposedly holds an important information to the scandalous life of the so called “righteous” District Attorney. An adventure that will bring sparks on boring married life of Claire and Phil.
Tina Fey and Steve Carell compliments with each other and I enjoyed the sarcasm and mirth in all their lines except with the so much use of the words that emphasize on the genitals which is inappropriate to the younger viewers. The storyline is simple; it is the characters that bring the big dent on the film.
The film also stars Mark Wahlberg (Holbrooke Grant), William Fichtner (Frank Crenshaw - District Attorney), Taraji Henson (Detective Arroyo), James Franco (Chase 'Taste' Tripplehorn), Mila Kunis (Whippit Tripplehorn), and Ray Liotta (Joe Miletto). Date Night opens in Philippine cinema on April 9 distributed by 20th Century Fox.
