According to Chef Sau del Rosario the person who responsible with the delectable dishes at Le Bistro Vert, he says that he wanted to have a Filipino touch in all the dishes even it is French based and with the use of the sustainable ingredients that is both healthy and produced locally, it makes the dishes affordable and more tasty compare with others. During our small talk he mention that he is looking forward to expand the menu of at Le Bistro Vert and include more dishes with a Filipino twist to make it more appealing to their loyal clients and generate more clients who wanted to eat good food on an affordable price.
Watch the video of my interview of Chef Sau:
Le Bistro Vert also launches a promo that will get the attention of coffee drinkers with their additional beverage on their menu. They are now serving Kape Isla Philippine coffee, a coffee hailed from the Cordillera Region that was struck by Typhoon Pepeng, and with their coffee products that is sold for 250 pesos per pack you can help rehabilitate their coffee industry in the north, that is Le Bistro Vert is doing, through their restaurant they will extend help to our fellow Filipinos in the Cordillera every time we purchase the Kape Isla Philippine coffee. For those who wanted to try this coffee you can avail it for free at the Le Bistro Vert just present this code: KapeIsla164, promo is until March 31, 2010 only.
Aside from Le Bistro Vert which is run by food aficionados Chit Juan, Jeannie Javelosa and Reena Francisco who are promoters of sustainable lifestyle, the also ECHOstore that has already five stores and one of it is in Serendra Piazza at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. Their store is famous with the ECHOstore Body Basics that is all natural, non-toxic products that include body soaps, lotions, shampoo, and others that are all Filipino made. Aside from the body products that they are selling ECHOstore also promotes recycling which old tarps are recycled and made to be bags and other apparels that are made by Multi- Purpose Cooperative in Cebu and Tondo, they also supports education through their partner Philippine Christian Foundation, Inc (PCF) that handles educational, community and livelihood program in areas like Navotas, Baguio and Tondo.
I always admire companies that promotes nationalism and advocates causes aside from earning through their products, that is why I admire Le Bistro Vert and ECHOstore, they offer good food, products and services with heart.
