Robin Padilla confesses his love to Mariel Rodriguez

August 9, Quezon City – Robin Padilla gives Mariel Rodriguez a diamond ring as he confesses her love to the birthday celebrant early this afternoon in ABS-CBN’s weekly showbiz talkshow E-Live. Robin Padilla will be temporarily leaving Pilipinas Win na Win where he co-host with Mariel, Pokwang, Valerie Concepcion and Kris Aquino in the observance of Ramadan. It’s been months ago when Robin and Mariel works together in the defunct afternoon Variety Game Show Wowowee during the leave of its host Willie Revillame. The chemistry of Padilla and Rodriguez works as its excites the viewers and fans of the noontime show where Mariel recently broke up with his long time boy friend Zanjoe Marudo where Robin is also single. Aside from the diamond ring and the confession made by Robin to Mariel there are allegations that both of them secretly married and Padilla denied the said rumor. According to Robin he will not deny or hide the truth in case the rumored marriage is true it is very special day for him if he really married Mariel. He also mention that whether Mariel will be accepting his love or not he wanted that Mariel will be having the diamond ring he gave because it is already hers.

Pilipinas Win na Win kicks off on July 31!

This Saturday, July 31, ABS-CBN’s highly anticipated, most-talked about, newest noontime show, Pilipinas Win na Win, is set to capture the hearts of the Kapamilya viewers around the globe.

Hosted by Queen of All Media Kris Aquino and “Pambansang Utol” Robin Padilla with ‘lunchtime beauties’ Pokwang, Mariel Rodriguez and Valerie Concepcion, Pilipinas Win na Win will bring in new exciting segments, games and fantastic prizes.

Business unit head Jay Montelibano, said that the show’s premiere will be a star-studded event. “Piolo Pascual will be here. Si Kuya Boy Abunda, kakaiba ang gagawin niya. Close friends of both Kris and Robin will be here too at ‘yung iba would be a surprise.” Other guests include Martin Nievera, AiAi delas Alas, Christian Bautista, Toni Gonzaga, Cristine Reyes, Karylle, Juris and child wonders Xyriel "Momay" Manabat and Zaijan "Santino" Jaranilla.

Montelibano also shared the changes that Pilipinas Win na Win will introduce. “The set will stay. ‘Yung staff naman saka yung mga dancers, they will stay. Pati si 'Congratulations' (April Gustilo), she'll stay It's the game segments that will see really total change. Naka-tailor fit talaga ‘yung segments for Kris and Robin at kino-complement pa rin naman nina Mariel, Valerie at Pokwang."

Montelibano added that the new combination of hosts is an added excitement factor. "We know of course Kris as being the Media Queen, and bihasa na siya sa pagho-host ng mga ganyang palaro. Pilipinas For The Win replaces Wowowee in the afternoon slot beginning July 31

After the long speculation if Willie Revillame will return to his leading afternoon variety-game show in ABS-CBN after his absence in the show, ABS-CBN breaks the silence by announcing its newest show entitled Pilipinas For The Win (FTW) that will replace Wowowee beginning July 31 in TV Patrol last July 27. The new show will be hosted by Kris Aquino who will be coming back in her vacation from US after her leave from the showbiz talk show programs; The Buzz and Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN). Aquino will be co-hosted by Robin Padilla, Pokwang, Mariel Rodriguez, and Valerie Concepcion.Pilipinas For The Win (FTW) will air its pilot episode on July 31 after Showtime. The show will be headed by director Johnny Manahan, creative director Bobot Mortiz, business unit head Jay Montelibano, and executive producers Phoebe Anievas and Rancy Recato. Aside from the announcement of the new show ABS-CBN releases an official statement about the replacement of Wowowee in the noontime programming through Corporate Communications Head Bong Osorio:


“On Saturday (July 31), ABS-CBN is launching a new noontime show called Pilipinas For The Win (FTW). The new show will be hosted by Robin Padilla, Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, Pokwang, and Kris Aquino. It is a game and variety show that will surely bring joy, energy and hope to Filipinos all over the world.


Pilipinas For The Win will replace Wowowee. Willie Revillame, through his manager, was already informed about this new development. He was also notified about the new program being planned for him and this will be announced in due time.


Pilipinas For The Win will be managed by director Johnny Manahan, creative director Bobot Mortiz, business unit head Jay Montelibano, and executive producers Phoebe Anievas and Rancy Recato. It will be aired after Showtime.”

Revillame will be having a new show in ABS-CBN which is on the developing stage and he will be informed about the said new project soon. His indefinite leave starts after his outburst to a Kapamilya showbiz reporter Joebert Saculdito who allegedly sends non-stop criticism against Revillame.
