Patrol ng Pillipino uncovers the fight on wage hike

Minimum-wage earners have long fought for a wage hike to help them cope with the rising cost of living. After all, the prices of transportation fare and food continue to increase as well.

Unfortunately, they lost in a battle again as the government rejected their P125 wage hike demand and gave them P22 COLA or “cost of living allowance.”

Find out why this is considered an injustice by the country’s workers as ABS-CBN correspondent Zen Hernandez tell the stories behind this news event in “Patrol ng Pilipino” on Tuesday (Mayo 17) after “Bandila.”

Also watch out for ABS -CBN correspondent Dominic Almelor’s report on how poor residents of far-flung island Balabac, Palawan are able to get financial support from the government through the use of technology. Balabac is said to be nearer Sabah, Malaysia that the capital of Palawan.
