Leonardo DiCaprio and Clint Eastwood to film J. Edgar

Last February 23 in Burbank, California, Warner Bros Pictures officially announce the filming of J. Edgar headed by its director Clint Eastwood and lead star Leonardo DiCaprio. The film explores the public and private of one of the most powerful and controversial enigmatic figures of the 20th century to be immortalize by Oscar winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black.

J. Edgar or John Edgar Hoover was law enforcer in America for almost fifty years where he became the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He was feared and admired, reviled and revered by everyone who fought gangsters in the height of bank robberies during his stay in position. Despite of him being one of the most powerful and influential icons in his time lays a secret that will destroy his image, career and life.

The action drama film that is set to be released on 2012 includes Naomi Watts, Judi Dench, Armie Hammer, Josh Lucas, Damon Herriman, and Ken Howard. J. Edgar was produced by Malpaso and Imagine Entertainment. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
