SM Cares, the Corporate Social Responsibility division of SM Investment Corporation re-launches their Green Eco-Bag making it more stylish and appealing to the shoppers and those who wanted to extend it usage more than an alternative to plastic bags. From the usual “green” and simple design, SM Cares introduces four colors with unique designs on each bag. The four new designs includes; Flow (Dark Blue), Sparks (Orange), Breathe (Light Blue) and Renew (White and Green), each bag represents certain elements in the environment which SM Cares wanted to promote to their loyal shoppers. Flow represents water, sparks represent fire or energy, breathe represents air and renew represents earth. All the designs are creations of Manuel D. Baldemor a Filipino artist.
Flow represents Water where SM Cares wanted promote marine conservation and rehabilitation of certain rivers that are now polluted because of the waste created by human. Sparks enlighten shoppers the proper usage of energy and how to conserve it, such as electricity. Breathe sets the record straight on how each one sees how our air is now polluted due to carbon monoxide emissions of some vehicles and factories. Lastly Renew shows us the importance of recycle to lessen the usage of new resources and the importance of preserving them for the future generations.
Eco-bags cost P35, oo each and for SM Advantage and SM Prestige card holders they will earn additional 2 points when they shop using the Eco-bag at SM Savemore, SM Hypermart and SM Supermarket.
