The animated film about the life of Mr. Fox who lives by raiding chicken farm as his job and promises his wife of quitting his job after discovering that she is pregnant and Mr. Fox decided to became a newspaper columnist. In search for a better life for his family, they move to a better home, a tree near to the farms of Walter Boggis (chicken farm owner), Nathan Bunce (ducks and geese farm owner), and Franklin Bean (turkeys, apples, and alcoholic cider owner). Mr. Fox with, Kylie (Wallace Wolodarsky), the opossum building superintendent and Felicity's nephew Kristofferson raided the three farms. Bunce, Beans and Boggis unites to haunt down Mr. Fox after discovering that he was the one breaks-in in their farm. Aside from Mr. Fox’s family, other animals that lives near the farm was included in the target of the three farm owners. With Mr. Fox as their leader they join forces against the three farm owners.
For a person like me who grew seeing Gumby, a green-clay made character that was shown in ABC 5 before, it is fun to see another stop-motion animated film like Fantastic Mr. Fox, seeing the effort of the production team on making a full length movie that runs for 87 minutes or 1 hour and 27 minutes. I also grew reading the novel where the film was based, and seeing it in wide screen really makes the child in me laugh with all the confident lines of Mr. Fox and the inferiority of Ash. It’s a perfect movie that family should be watching this Holiday season, the children will love it and their parents will remember the story that their parents used to read them before bedtime.
The stop-motion animated film Fantastic Mr. Fox also features voices of Jarvis Cocker, Owen Wilson, Willem Dafoe, and Helen McCrory and it will be screening this December on Ayala Malls.
